The American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) is pleased to hold its 13th K-12 ASEE Annual Teachers Workshop June 25, 2016, at the New Orleans Convention Center in New Orleans, LA. The theme for this year’s workshop is “STEM Integration through Engineering.”

Submit your work by February 4!

Individual workshops should prominently:

  • feature hands-on classroom activities
  • provide take-home or classroom-ready materials, in addition to written materials
  • engage participants in interactive exercises
  • explicitly feature strategies, activities and/or curricula that use engineering in an Integrated STEM activity or project
  • include technical content, use of the engineering design process, and ideas for effective teaching/pedagogy 
  • address diversity and how to attract/retain students in STEM
All workshops must be linked to national standards (e.g., the ITEEA Technological Literacy Standards, the Next Generation Science Standards, the Common Core State Standards in Mathematics).
 
In particular, we are seeking proposals addressing elementary/primary grades.
 
Note that FIE K-12 Workshop Presenters must register either for the workshop or the conference to support their workshop attendance and audio/video costs.
